Landscape Sales Designer
A client-focused design and sales role for someone who communicates well, understands landscape design, and enjoys using modern tools to create clear presentations and estimates.
Greenline is looking for an experienced Landscape Sales Designer to help meet with clients, design landscape and hardscape projects, prepare proposals, and help sell quality outdoor work throughout West Michigan.
This is not just a drafting position and not just a sales position. We are looking for someone who can combine good communication, practical design experience, and strong computer skills into a better client experience.
What matters most
• Communication and sales ability – able to listen, ask good questions, explain ideas clearly, follow up well, and help clients feel comfortable moving forward.
• Landscape design experience – able to design buildable residential and commercial projects using DynaScape, AutoCAD, SketchUp, or other CAD-based software.
• Strong computer, AI, and presentation skills – able to use modern tools to develop ideas, personalize presentations, organize project information, and support estimating.
What the work includes
• Meet with homeowners, business owners, builders, and property managers to discuss landscape and hardscape projects.
• Create thoughtful, practical designs for patios, walls, walkways, planting beds, outdoor living spaces, lighting, irrigation, drainage, and related site improvements.
• Prepare clear plans, concepts, proposals, and presentation materials using CAD, photos, AI tools, and presentation software.
• Help organize notes, measurements, photos, design ideas, budgets, and estimating information so projects can move smoothly from first meeting to installation.
• Work with Greenline estimating, production, and installation teams so projects are priced, scheduled, and built well.
• Follow up with leads, current clients, and past clients to build long-term relationships and future work.

The best fit is someone who is friendly, organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working with both clients and the Greenline team. They should enjoy design, selling, problem-solving, and using technology to make the process better.
You would likely be a strong fit if you are:
• Experienced in landscape design, hardscape design, landscape construction, or outdoor living projects.
• Strong with communication, follow-up, client relationships, and helping people make decisions.
• Skilled with DynaScape, AutoCAD, SketchUp, or another CAD-based design program.
• Comfortable using AI tools to improve design concepts, client presentations, proposals, estimating, and communication.
• Able to combine CAD drawings, photos, AI-assisted visuals, presentation software, and estimating information into one clear client presentation.
• Knowledgeable about plants, patios, walls, walkways, grading, drainage, lighting, irrigation, and construction details.
• Professional, dependable, and able to manage multiple projects at one time.
